CNC Carving Machine KitNote: The cutter is not included in the package. You will need to install your own cutter to the cutter base frame.
You can see the live video demo of this machine. Just go to youtube and search for "Zen Toolworks CNC"
You are looking at a DIY kit of a CNC carving machine. Now you can build your own very first CNC carving machine to make relieaf carving, letter cutting, inlay and all other interesting features to enhance your woodworking PCB, or other projects.
The body of the machine is constructed with PVC board and steel linear bearing guides and stainless steel lead screws. All three axis are equiped with aluminum flex coupling, brass anti-backlash screw nuts, and used Nema 17, 2 phase, 6 wire stepper motor. After a proper install, you will be amazed by what can be achieved by this machine. It can also provide a beginner CNC hobbiest an oppotunity to practice all aspects of the CNC world with very reasonable budget. After you become more comfortable with the concept and complete a few real projects, you will know what you exactly want when it comes to purchasing a higher end machine within your own budget.
In order to run this machine, you will still need a power supply (24V DC), a 3 axis stepper motor driver, a PC and a dremel cutter, which are not included. Those components can be easily acquired from the web with very reasonable price. Also, you will need software to run the G-Code that generated by any CAM software you choose.
Upon the purchase, we will provide you the web link to the instruction and you will be always welcome to send us an email if you need any instruction. You will also have the access to our member only discussion forum to learn from other people's experience and get very helpful information from there.
CarveWright N01 Woodworking SystemThis revolutionary compact and powerful CNC woodcarving machine measures only 15" x 18" x 26"! The rising head and feed-through configuration accepts work pieces 14-1/2" wide, 5" high, and with proper support, nearly any desired length. Using the CarveWright woodworking system is as easy as 1-2-3. Design your project on the CarveWright Designer software (included). Choose from images in the CarveWright software library or import images from a source of your choosing. Upload the project to a special memory card and slide the card right into the CarveWright machine - no need to attach your computer to the machine. After inserting the memory card into the CarveWright , the onboard LCD display will guide you, step by step, through your project. CarveWright can be used to perform a variety of functions such as routing, cutting, carving and jointing and has a patented "Quick Change System" that allows the bits to be easily removed and replaced. In fact, CarveWright will automatically choose the correct bit for your job and measure your work piece. The intuitive and easy to use PC or Mac compatible software package contains simple toolbars that allow you to manipulate your design on a 3-dimensional representation of your work piece. Images can be "dragged and dropped" onto the work piece display, allowing you to combine images, add text, size and re-shape, or adjust the carving depth. You can even draw your design using 2D drawing capabilities. The CarveWright Woodworking System comes equipped with everything needed to get started. Includes one carving bit, one cutting bit, two 1/4" bit adapters, vacuum bag, a bit removal tool, a CarveWright 0-45 degrees with programmer, CarveWright design software, users manual and a one year warranty. Note: Available in the continental United States only.

ABC's of CNCABC's of CNC is a 2 hour video (in DVD format) that takes you through everything you need to know to start building your own CNC router, laser cutter or plasma cutter. Were willing to bet that youre like us.... You LOVE precision! Youd like to be able to build things that have intricate, detailed parts, and create signs, plaques, and carved panels for furniture and cabinets. Or maybe you are looking for a sideline business, with a machine that can be making money for you while youre doing other things. Youve probably looked at commercially made CNC (Computer Numeric Control) machines, but the prices have blown your hair back. All of that is HISTORY! YOU can build your own CNC machine... whether it is a router, a laser cutter, a plasma cutter, or even a CNC lathe. You can build it in a typical home workshop, and you dont have to be an electronics engineer, a computer programmer, or a machinist to accomplish your goal. A complete CNC router can be built for a few hundred dollars. Learn all of the basics of CNC machines, from how they work, to the software that controls them, the types of machines that are available, and see demos of some of the more popular software, and the actual workflow, from a pencil sketch... to a finished, CNC cut part.

Advanced Numerical Methods to Optimize Cutting Operations of Five Axis Milling Machines (Springer Series in Advanced Manufacturing)The book presents new optimization algorithms designed to improve the efficiency of tool paths for five-axis NC machining of sculptured surfaces. The book introduces the reader to fundamental issues involved in the tool path planning such as the kinematics of five-axis machines, types of 5 axis machines, part surface representation, machining strips, optimal tool orientation, gouging avoidance and forward step error. It also introduces new methods of optimization based on research conducted by the authors, including schemes performed in the spatial domain, angular domain as well as procedures to optimize the initial setup. The book can be used by undergraduate and graduate students and researchers in the field of NC machining and CAD/CAM as well as by corporate research groups for advanced optimization of cutting operations.
